In South Fort Collins, there are numerous multi-use trails that can be mix and matched for runs of various lengths. This combines the Power Trail with trails in the Fossil Creek Marsh Area.

Power Trail. This paved, flat multi-use trail follows the west side of the Union Pacific Railroad for much of its 5 mile length. The north end starts at Edora Park and runs for 2.9 miles to Golden Meadows Park. Then there’s a 1.2 mile road connection before the dedicated trail picks up for the final 1.3 miles to the Fossil Creek Marsh parking lot.

Fossil Creek Marsh Area. Numerous trail options here. North of the parking lot @Trilby Rd., there are ~2 miles of paths in the Paragon Point residential area, connecting to another ~2 miles of trails in Fossil Creek Park, which has scenic wetlands, a reservoir, and connections to the Fossil Creek Trail. South of the parking lot, the Fossil Creek Wetlands Trail runs south for 1 mile to County Rd., where you can connect to the 1.5 mile Pelican Marsh Trail, which runs west along Carpenter and then through pleasant scenery in the Pelican Marsh Natural Area to Water’s Way Park.
