This is a scenic run in the area of Nantasket Beach that includes several miles of beach and waterside running. It’s also possible to run on Nantasket Beach itself — it’s one of the best beaches along Boston’s South Shore for running. Nantasket Beach is located in the town of Hull — a peninsula at the southern end of Boston Harbor. Parking Notes: Paid parking available at Nantasket Beach. Most of the roads in Nantasket/Hull are permit parking.

Sunset Ave. Google Street View

Start at Nanasket Beach near the historic carousel. There’s a paved promenade along the beach that runs for ~1.2 miles along Massachusetts Bay. Then, Beach Ave. continues for up to 2 more miles to Allerton, with a couple of interruptions. There are classic beachfront homes and some water views along this section of Beach Ave.  The beach itself is 3.5 miles long and very runnable. At Allerton, curl around to the west side and run south Cadish Ave./Sunset Ave. for 1.2 miles to the end. There are wonderful views of Hull Bay nearly the whole way. LEFT on A St. to access Beach Ave. for the return.

Shorter Option: Stop at the end of the promenade and cut across to the west side of the peninsula using K St. and run along Sunset Ave,

Longer Option. Our Hull Loop, from Allerton to Pemberton Point. Gorgeous waterside running!
