Area Around Heydar Aliyev Centre & Convention Park

This is a run in the northeastern part of Baku, incorporating the large open spaces around the modern Heydar Aliyev Centre, Congress Center, and Convention Park.

Start at the Heydar Aliyev Centre, a large modern building with a gallery, auditorium, & museum. The area around Heydar Aliyev, the Congress Center and Baku Convention Park features wide open plazas, green spaces, & water features, and some landscaped paths. It’s possible to stitch together 3-4 km. There’s also a running track just west, off Koroğlu Rəhimov St., and the small Iran Park just northwest of Heydar Aliyev.

Add-Ons: Just west of this area is the Zoological Park, which has the adjacent Dədə Qorqud Park and Zorge Park, which is good for running. The connection between the Baku Convention Park & Dədə Qorqud Park isn’t great… you could wind through the paths of Odlar Yurdu University.
