The eastern part of Baku is recently developed, and includes parks, a port area, high rises, and hotels. There are some good running options here. The anchor is New City Park, which is just inland from the waterfront. Continue east to Hərbi Qənimətlər Parkı, an outdoor army museum featuring military displays. There are wide, open pedestrian paths.

Then, head just south of the main road into Ağ Şəhər Bulvarı, the large waterside park with paths extending east to the Marriott Hotel. Overall, this is a 4.3 km loop. For more, continue west on our waterside route to Dənizkənarı Milli Park.

There's nearly 16 of continuous, wide open seafront paths in Baku, with great views the Caspian Sea. This route extends south/west from the center to Baku Crystal Hall and Memorial Park. Great water views! Can be combined with our north/east route.

This route is focused on Philarmonia Garden and the Old City (Icherisheher), where we recommend going early and creating your own route among its narrow streets. Can combine with our Central City/Parks route and waterfront paths.
A hilly run, rewarded with great views! It's 80m over 1.5 km to Highland Park, which features great views of the city and the Flame Towers. From there, it's another 80m climb over 1.5 km to the TV Tower, where there are some additional hilly paths for running.
A 'runseeing' tour of central Baku, taking in major sites, fountains, and parks such as Zorge Park, Füzuli Park, & Mərkəzi Park. Full route is 13 km, but can be shortened.
In the northeastern part of Baku, stitch together a few km around the Heydar Aliyev Centre, Congress Center, and Convention Park. There are wide open plazas, green spaces, & water features. Just west is a running track.
