The 16 km of promenade paths along the Caspian Sea in Baku are the highlight of running in Baku. The paths are very wide and open, passing through numerous parks, with great water views the whole way. Bonus: lit at night! We’ve divided the promenade into two routes, starting at Azneft Square. This route is nearly 7 km south/west route to Crystal Hall/Azərbaycan Dənizçilərinin Xatirəsinə (Memorial Park). See also our 9 km north/east route to the Marriott.
Path in Memorial Park area. Google Street View
Starting from Azneft Square, head south, passing the Mini-Venice attraction and the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. Continue on the wide path through the waterfront park, with views to the Baku Eye and Bayıl Castle, and around the port/marina area surrounding the Baku Crystal Hall, a modern glass arena. Continue around the point, passing the Elektra Events Hall and the waterfront path to Azərbaycan Dənizçilərinin Xatirəsinə (Memorial Park).
Add-Ons: Can also combine with waterfront path north/east to New City Park & the Marriott.

There's nearly 16 of continuous, wide open seafront paths in Baku, with great views the Caspian Sea. This route extends north/east from the center to the Marriott, through Dənizkənarı Milli Park & Ağ Şəhər Bulvarı Park. Great water views and numerous sites.
This route is focused on Philarmonia Garden and the Old City (Icherisheher), where we recommend going early and creating your own route among its narrow streets. Can combine with our Central City/Parks route and waterfront paths.
A hilly run, rewarded with great views! It's 80m over 1.5 km to Highland Park, which features great views of the city and the Flame Towers. From there, it's another 80m climb over 1.5 km to the TV Tower, where there are some additional hilly paths for running.
A 'runseeing' tour of central Baku, taking in major sites, fountains, and parks such as Zorge Park, Füzuli Park, & Mərkəzi Park. Full route is 13 km, but can be shortened.
Several km of running in the eastern part of Baku incorporating New City Park, Hərbi Qənimətlər Parkı and the outdoor Army Museum, and the waterside Ağ Şəhər Bulvarı Park. Add with our waterfront route headed west toward central Baku.
In the northeastern part of Baku, stitch together a few km around the Heydar Aliyev Centre, Congress Center, and Convention Park. There are wide open plazas, green spaces, & water features. Just west is a running track.
