Igidae Coastal Walk

For scenery and a bit of a challenge, the Igidae Coastal Walk is a must do in Busan. A coastal trail located a couple of miles south of Gwangalli Beach, the Igidae Coastal Walk is a path following the coast for 4.7 km from Igidae Dongsaengmal to Oryukdo Sunrise Park. At Oryukdo, there’s a ‘skywalk’, which is a popular attraction for its walkway with great views. Among the attractions along the way is a great view from Diamond Bridge. There’s a map of the trails at the path’s entrance.

The trail itself is a combination of gentler pavement and dirt path, with some steeper sections and lots of stairs near the Oryukdo Skywalk hill section. As an alternative (or for a good loop option), the interior  Forest Walkway trail goes for 2 km, and is more of a challenging trail run.

Essentials
  • 4.7 km (3 miles) one-way.
  • Hilly, with a couple of steep sections and stairs!
  • Path entrance at Igidae Dongsaengmal. Can also start at Oryukdo
  • Bus access in area
