Chattahoochee RiverWalk

The Chattahoochee RiverWalk is the signature run in Columbus. The nearly 15-mile paved multi-use path stretches from Bibb City south to Fort Benning. The first ~8 miles is right along the Chattahoochee River, with some nice water views. The trail passes right through downtown. Highlights along the way include Historic Uptown Columbus, Golden Park, Rigdon Park,  and the National Civil War Naval Museum. South of the Columbus Water Works, the path turns inland, passing through South Lumpkin Park, with a connection to Historic Westville, terminating in the Fort Benning area.

There’s a 1.2 mile section on the Phenix City (Alabama) side. Use the 14th Ave. Pedestrian Bridge to cross! Some key distances, north to south.
