Folsom – Lake Natoma Loop

Folsom is a beautiful suburb about 25 miles northeast of Sacramento. Lake Natoma is one of the iconic places to run in Folsom. This 11.8 mile loop is moderately trafficked, and features beautiful wild flowers.

The trail consists of many small rises along the southeast side the lake, and is known as home to plenty of wildlife. Crossing Willow Creek and Alder Creek on wooden-decked bridges, the trail provides pedestrian access to Folsom Lake State Recreation Area’s Willow Creek and Nimbus Flats boat launch areas.

Accessible year round, dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on a leash. Free parking is offered, as well as a rest area.
