Quota Park to Broadwater Parklands

David McKelvey CC BY-NC-ND 2.0

Runners can find more waterfront running along the Nerang River, just north of Gold Coast in Southport. It’s less of a promenade and more of a narrow sidewalk, but nevertheless a nice option for a longer run. The path runs for about 7 km (4 miles) one-way next to Marine Parade and the Gold Coast Highway. In the north, the path starts at Quota Park, near the mouth of Biggera Creek. It continues south through Harley Park, Len Fox Park, and Mitchell Park before arriving at Broadwater Parklands. Runners can also cross over the Sundale Bridge and through Jack Gordon Park to meet with the Gold Coast Oceanway.

Essentials
  • Up to 7 km (4 miles) one way
  • 15 meters (48 feet)
  • Quota Park or Broadwater Parklands
  • Broadwater Parklands Tram Stop
