Nicholsons Point & Parrot’s Bay Trail Run

Creative Commons

Combining Nicholsons Point and Parrott’s Bay makes for some fairly easy trail running in the west part of Kingston. These are two small conservation areas with mainly wooded, gravel trails. It’s one of the better options in Kingston to get in some hills! We’ve put together an outline route that is ~9 km. It includes an 0.5 mile section on Bath Rd., which is busy but does have a shoulder.

Park at Lighthouse Park, and run along the western side trails of Nicholsons Point for ~1.7 km, heading out the north end onto Bath Rd. LEFT on Bath Rd. for 0.5 km (shoulder, no sidewalk) and enter the Parrott’s Bay area. A loop of the trails is ~ 5 km, staying on the north side of the water. Retrace your steps and cut back through Nicholsons Point to complete the route.

Essentials
  • 8.8 km (5.5 miles)
  • 88m (291 feet)

  • Parking at Lighthouse Park
