Fullneck Loop Circular

Google Street View

There’s a wealth of paths for walking in Yorkshire. Many of them incorporate public ‘bridleways’, which are right-of-way though farms and other properties. Among the many walks or easy trail runs in the Leeds-Bradford area, the Fulneck Loop Circular is popular. The route incorporates the Fulneck Moravian Settlement, Pudsey Beck and Tyersal Beck, and Black Carr Woods. It’s mainly on bridlepaths, with some sections on small lanes and roads.

On the map, start at Tong Park or Kent Rd. in Pudsey. Take Troydale Ln. east for 0.5 miles to Pudsey Beck, where a bridle path heads south for 1.5 miles along a small brook through fields. It’s a bit narrow here. At Rocker Ln., LEFT toward the dog park and continue west along the Tyersal Beck (between wooded area and Fullneck golf course) for 1.5 miles. Then, RIGHT on Schoolhouse Ln., passing Willow Nook Farm, and RIGHT on Bankhouse, completing the loop using Rocker Ln. and Lumbly Ln.

Essentials
  • 5.5 miles (8.9 km) loop
  • 350 feet (106m)
  • Tong Park or Kent Ave. in Pudsey
