For a flatter run in the Griffith Park/Hollywood Hills area, we recommend the loop around the Hollywood Reservoir (also known as Lake Hollywood). There’s a 3.3 mile paved path around the reservoir, which is popular with walkers and runners. There are view of the water a decent part of the way, though it’s through a chain link fence. Among the highlights of this route are the section across Mulholland Dam, and views of the Hollywood Sign and surrounding hills.
There are restrooms near the north gate. Numerous access points.
Add-Ons: Mulholland Hwy Trail is a hilly dirt path that’s more of a trail run. Access from the southern Hollywood Reservoir Trailhead near Mulholland Dam. Can also connect to trails in Griffith Park.
