L.A. River Bike Path (Downtown/East L.A.)

L.A. has a river running through it, and a very pleasant paved bike path along it provides a nice run and a good connection between Griffith Park, and Elysian Park/Dodger Stadium. Good access points are Victory Blvd. & Riverside Dr. to the north, Los Feliz Blvd. in Atwater Village, and Riverside Dr. to the south. Our map is of the ~7 mile trail in the heart of L.A. Runners can do all or part of this path, or use it to add variety to runs incorporating Griffith Park and Elysian Park. There are markers every 1/4 mile.
Essentials
  • 7 miles one-way
  • 72 feet
  • South End: Southeastern side of Elysian Park; North End: north end of Griffith Park/L.A. Zoo
