Santa Monica Beach to Venice Beach

This is one of the more well-known and pretty sections of the Marvin Braude Path.  Starting at Santa Monica Pier, this dedicated paved path goes 3.3 miles to Venice Beach, ending at Washington Blvd., where the path turns inland. It’s 2 miles from the Santa Monica Pier to the Venice Beach boardwalk, if you’d like to cut the run a little short, taking in Muscle Beach, the famed outdoor basketball courts, and Venice Skatepark.
At Venice Beach, the Marvin Braude path turns inland for ~3 miles, so it’s a good turnaround point. ADD-ON: run the path along the canals at Venice Beach. Really pretty!
