Sanjay Gandhi National Park

Sanjay Gandhi National Park is a national park of 103 sq. km between the suburbs of Mumbai and Thane, just north of the Mumbai suburb of Powai. The park is an oasis for running with birds chirping, deer grazing and lots of green. The park offers a good opportunity for trail runners, with a challenge level ranging up to medium. Our fellow Great Runs runner Saravanan B Ganapathy has submitted a 6 km one-way route starting at the entrance gate of Sanjay Gandhi National Park to the historic Kanheri Caves, a retreat of Jain Monks in the ages past.
