The historic 1998 Winter Olympics, hosted by Nagano, are forever commemorated at the Minami Nagano Sports Park in south Nagano. It’s a relatively small park, but runners can enjoy a loop around the Olympic Stadium and surrounding parks, gardens, and athletic facilities. There are numerous of interconnected paths within the grounds, featuring bridges and waterways. It’s a perfect place for a meandering run, or you can follow the 3.4 km loop we’ve mapped for as many laps as you like. This route begins from the skate park in the southwest corner of the park, but it’s possible to join in at any entrance.

Other facilities at the complex include Nagano U Stadium, fields, and two sports/athletic parks.
