Fundy Trail (Saint Martins)

Saint Martins is a small seaside village located approximately 50 km up the coast from Saint John. It’s most famous for its remarkable sea caves, and as the gateway to the scenic Fundy Parkway. While it’s not recommended to run along this winding parkway, there are some other options for runners to take in the sights.

The best option is the 10 km multi-use path that roughly parallels the parkway between the first and seventh parking lots. It’s a smooth mostly gravel surface that you’ll share with pedestrians and cyclists. Trail runners may also appreciate the park’s numerous footpaths, which include everything from an easy loop along the Big Salmon River and its swinging suspension bridge to the famous “Fundy Footpath” long trail along the coast.

Note: There is a daily fee of $9.50 to access the parkway. Five day and seasonal passes are also available, with discounts for youths, seniors, and families.
