Jesolo – Waterfront and More

Hotel Oasiverde

Jesolo is a popular seaside resort town that’s officially part of Venice. It’s about 40 km from Venice and reachable by car, bus, or ferry. The highlight of running in Jesolo is along the paved waterfront path, the Lungomare Mike Bongiorno, which is right alongside the beach for 11.5 km. It’s a festive scene, and there are great views of the Adriatic the whole way. The path runs from the JesoloPalace Hotel near Tourist Information Office, south to the Spiaggia del Faro (Lighthouse Beach). The 15 km long beach is also runnable, though the sand tends to be finer. Bonus: Lit at night!

Other Recommendations for Jesolo: The main commercial center, from Piazza Brescia to just south of Piazza Mazzini, has some pleasant, tree-lined streets for running. Another good spot is along the Via Cristo Re, a quiet gravel road with views to the canal on one side and farm fields on the other.

Note that Jesolo and neighboring Cavallino (which also has a nice beach for running) are very popular camping areas.
