Spring of the Bosna River (Vrelo Bosne) is a beautiful nature preserve located just west of Ilidža, approximately 15 km from Sarajevo center. Here, runners will find a variety of scenic trails, from paved and gravel walkways to gentle woodland paths. From several points throughout the park, visitors can enjoy picturesque bridges and stunning views of the branching river. We recommend exploring the park at your own leisure, but we’ve also mapped a route along the Velika aleja starting from the center of Ilidža. It’s about 7 km round trip, beginning at the Banjska Park. This beautiful, allée-like path is lined with stately trees. Take a post-run dip in the pools of the Ilidža Thermal Riviera.
