The Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area is one of the best places to run in north L.A. Located in Burbank near the I-101/I-405 intersection, the Sepulveda Basin features some 7-8 miles of runnable paths. The centerpiece of the park is the 1.3-mile loop around Lake Balboa. There are other surrounding trails, including a ~3 mile loop on a path around the Balboa Golf Course, and 1-2 miles of additional trails on the east side of Woodley Ave. around the dam and Wildlife Preserve.
Add-On: The Orange Line Busway bike path goes west of the park for 3+ miles to Pierce College.
