Short Option: 6 km Start at the Palatsinraitti Bridge and stay on the western side of the Tammerkoski. Take the multi-use path for 0.5 km north to the waterfront. Turn RIGHT, heading east on the waterfront path for 0.4 km to the end, then retrace your steps. This next section headed west is very scenic, using a wide boardwalk jutting out into the water. Next, do a ~1.3 km loop of Näsi Park, which features a famous poplar tree and lake views. Then, run west on the path to where the channel spills into the lake. Retrace your steps along the waterfront, concluding the run into Aleksandra Siltasen Park.

Longer Option: Extend the route by up to 3 km one-way. Continue west on the path alongside Paasikivenkatu, and then rejoin the waterfront path, which includes another spectacular boardwalk section, as far as Pölkkylä Park.
