Helenen Park

Tucked into the west end of the Stoppenberg neighborhood north of Essen, Helenen Park is a combination of dense forest and fields with a good variety of asphalt and gravel paths networked along the Stoppenberger Bach. The loop around Helenen Park is 2.3 km. For a longer route, head just west of Helenen Park to the paths along the Berne leading south to Nordpark, or slightly south into Hangetal park, where more multi-use paths lead east for 2 km toward Sportpark am Hallo, where there’s a running track.
