This 5-miler is an exploration of the highlights of Tallahassee’s Midtown area, including a loop of Lake Ella, a couple of parks, and some pleasant residential streets. Run our mapped route combine with Levy Park and Betton Hills neighborhoods. Park at the Lake Ella parking lot and enjoy the 3/4 mile loop around the lake, with nice water views. Then take N. Gadsden or Cherry St. to Lafayette Park, which has some narrow wooded paths (map a drawing). Exit the park on onto Martin, RIGHT on Ingleside, LEFT on Mitchell, then RIGHT on 7th Ave. to Spruce, then LEFT on E Chouteau Ave., which has some lovely oaks. Then do a loop of Winthrop Park, using Betton and Mitchell or Crestview. Use the sidewalked 7th Ave. or 6th Ave. to return to the start. There’s actually a bit of elevation on this route!
