Tallahassee, FL

Lake Ella, Mid-Town, Neighborhoods

Google Street View

This 5-miler is an exploration of the highlights of Tallahassee’s Midtown area, including a loop of Lake Ella, a couple of parks, and some pleasant residential streets. Run our mapped route and combine with the Levy Park and Betton Hills neighborhoods. Park at the Lake Ella parking lot and enjoy the 3/4 mile loop around the lake, with nice water views. Then take N. Gadsden or Cherry St. to Lafayette Park, which has some narrow wooded paths. Exit the park on onto Martin, RIGHT on Ingleside, LEFT on Mitchell, then RIGHT on 7th Ave. to Spruce, then LEFT on E Chouteau Ave., which has some lovely oaks. Then do a loop of Winthrop Park, using Betton and Mitchell or Crestview. Use the sidewalked 7th Ave. or 6th Ave. to return to the start. There’s actually a bit of elevation on this route!

Add-Ons/Variations. Nice residential running in the Levy Park and Betton Hills neighborhoods can be added or incorporated.
