Miccosukee Canopy Road Greenway

Courtesy: hikeitbaby.com

The Miccosukee Canopy Road Greenway offers a great opportunity for a fairly easy trail run beneath a canopy of oaks. The greenway is a linear park off Miccosukee Rd. between Fleischmann Rd. and Crump Rd., consisting of some 17 miles of trails. The one-way distance is ~7 miles. The trail is hilly, wooded and twisty. Starting at Fleischmann Rd., the trail is on the north side of Miccosukee Rd. headed east for 4.6 miles to Miles Johnson Rd. Then, follow the trail into the woods on the south side of Miccosukee for 1.5 miles, then the trail crosses to the north side for ~1 mile. Great shaded option on a hot day! There are four trailheads: two on Miccosukee Rd., one on Fleischman Rd. and one on Crump Rd.

Note: you can also run Miccosukee Rd., which has a beautiful canopy of oaks. There is no sidewalk, however.
