Brighton Rail Trail

The Brighton Rail Trail is a pleasant, fairly flat multi-use path running between two neighborhoods, with some good add-on options. The 1.8 mile trail is a combination of suburban/residential trail, with spurs to some nice parks and other good neighborhood roads for running.

The western end of the trail is at Man O War Blvd. and the eastern end is at Walnut Grove Ln. It’s 3.7 miles out and back. Just east of Pleasant Ridge Park, there’s a spur trail that goes for 0.3 miles to Polo Club Blvd. You can also add a bit around Deer Haven Park.

Add-Ons: Just west of the Brighton Rail Trail is the 1-mile Liberty Trail, which comes off Liberty Rd. Good roads for running that come off the trail are Polo Club Blvd. (nice paths along a wide road) and Walnut Grove Ln., a pleasantly shaded road which heads for 2 miles north to Winchester Rd.
