Gwangnaru Hangang Park, located on the south bank of the Han River between the Gangdong Bridge and Olympic Bridge, is an excellent spot for a run. The park features 7.9 km of paved paths passing through a scenic landscape of naturally sandy plains and silver grass. The park features numerous facilities, including a public swimming pool, bike park, river observation deck below a bridge, a rose garden, and numerous other sports facilities.
For running, 5.7 km of the paths are for bicycles and pedestrians (the other 2.2 km are for bicycles and motor vehicles). The park itself is fairly narrow, so the paths are mainly in a north-south direction. A highlight of the run is 2 km along a silver grass field.
Add-On: From the southern end of the park (Olympic Bridge), Olympic Park, site of the 1988 Summer Games, features several km of jogging paths.
