Høgskoleparken and Stavne Bridge

Creative Commons 2.0: Trondheim Havn

This is a fun run combining Høgskoleparken (park) and two scenic bridges over the Nidelva River. It can be easily combined with our other central Trondheim routes.

Start in Old Town Trondheim on Prinsens gt., a street with several museums and cultural institutions. Head south, crossing the Elgeseter Bridge, which features wide sidewalks and great views of the Nidelva River and the city. Continue into Høgskoleparken and run through its 1.2 km length. It’s a pleasantly green space, with hilly, grassy paths. Continue south on Klæbuveien, a pleasant residential street, and then access Stavne Bridge — a railroad bridge that crosses over to the Stavne neighborhood. There’s a cycle path that allows for a pedestrian crossing. For the return, retrace your steps.

Add-Ons: Combine with Marinen Park and our route along the Nidelva River.
