Ladestien Walking Track Along Trondheim Fjord

The Ladestien Walking Track along the Trondheim Fjord is our favorite run in Trondheim. Located 3 km east of the centre, this scenic path runs for up to 6 km from just east of the marina, around theĀ  entire Lade Peninsula to Rotvoll. It’s a firm gravel path most of the way, with a couple of narrower sections through woods. There are fantastic views out to the fjord for a good part of the route. Note: rolling hills.

Start near the Albuskjell Oljerigg motel, just east of the marina. Follow the Ladestien Path headed east, enjoying the wonderful views. The path passes through several ‘hiking areas’, and by several historical landmarks, including remains of old fortresses.

Add-Ons:Ā  The western section of paths along Trondheim Fjord begin at Rockheim Museum, ~3 km west and near the centre.
