This is a scenic run on gentle paths combining views of Ilya Waterfall, wooded trails, and up to three lakes west of Trondheim. There are several options to vary the run.

Short Option: Ila Waterfall & Teisendammen Lake. This is a scenic 5 km loop on easy trails. Start at Ila Waterfall, a popular spot with a great view the falls. From the falls, take path west, up the Iladalen valley for 1.5 km to Teisendammen Lake. Combination of open & wooded, with some additional waterfalls in Møllebakken and some wooden stairs. Teisendammen is a popular swimming lake, with a 2 km loop path and some nice water views and a golf course on the north side. Retrace your steps to the start.

Longer Option: Extend To Baklidammen & Kobberdammen Lake.  Some great options to extend the above route into the Bymarka nature reserve. From Teisendammen Lake, take the path just north of Fjellseterveien Rd. for nearly 1 km to Baklidammen Lake. There’s a path along the north & east sides of the lake. Turn around here, or continue on the path on the north side of Baklidammen for up to 2.5 km to Kobberdammen Lake. To make this section a loop, take the path that heads south of the lake for 0.8 km, then head back east to Baklidammen on the path just above Fjellseterveien Rd. This full loop is 12.6 km.

Add-Ons: Additional paths in the Bymarka nature reserve.
