Other Parks North of Vilnius

On the other side of the river, north of Vilnius center, there are several great parks where runners can get out into the open air without too much travel.  All of these parks are fairly easy to connect on adjoining streets. You can round out your workout with the stationary exercise equipment along the lake at the Vaikų žaidimo aikštelė playground. We’ve suggested park loops below, but you can create your own, too!

The favorite option in this area is the Šeškinės šlaitų geomorfologinis draustinis. There are numerous gravel paths here around forests and lakes, so runners should have no trouble putting together a scenic route over rolling hills. MAP.

Just to the north, don’t miss Jomanto Park. The asphalt and dirt paths here, although slightly run down, travel through some pretty sections of woods. MAP.

For interval training and sprints, another good option is Ozo Park, an open space of grass and lakes near the Siemens Arena. The park has a pristine dirt elliptical track as well as a few other undulating trails. TRACK MAP.
