This ‘runseeing’ tour of downtown Winston-Salem is a pleasant run along historic streets, parks, and The Strollway, a gravel trail passing through historic Old Salem. Start at the northern end The Strollway at Corpening Plaza. Head south for 1.2 miles, into Old Salem, passing several sights and the covered bridge, to the YMCA. For the next section, take a RIGHT on Old Salem Ave. into Washington Park, and enjoy the walking trails. Then take the Salem Creek Greenway back west to Central Park, do a jaunt on the paths there. The final section is up and down the attractive, tree-lined streets of Old Salem: Main St., Church St., and Salt St., with their numerous historic buildings and homes.

Add-On: Do more miles on the 4.5 mile Salem Creek Greenway, which runs from Washington Park to Salem Lake.
