We love this run combining Park Ostankino with the large plaza around the All-Russian Exhibition Centre (VDNKh). Park Ostankino is a large urban green space with several km of mainly wooded paths. It’s in the Ostankinsky District in north-eastern Moscow. The park runs for ~3 km north south, between ul. Akademika Koroleva & the CBX Road. Several small ponds bisect the river. At the south end is the Ostankino Estate, an 18th-century opulent wooden palace with neoclassical flair features a theater & a museum. There’s also a running track. There are some nice gardens at the northern end.

In addition to the park paths, and for some more open space, we also like running along the wide, impressive plaza area that’s a 2 km straight shot from the ‘Golden Ear’ Fountain to the VNDH Arch (Muzey Vdnkh). You’ll pass several imposing buildings, the Stone Flower Fountain, Vostok Rocket, & the historic Exhibition Center. Just south of the Arch, there’s the Museum of Cosmonautics and a nice park around it. This whole area has a Soviet-era feel,

Add-Ons: Yauza Park is located just north of Ostankino, across the CBX road. There are 20+km of paths and 17 km of paved paths along the Yauza River.
