This is a scenic route in Schierstein, a southwestern borough of Wiesbaden located near the Rhine River. Schierstein features a scenic harbor, with paths around it forming a 3.5 km loop. For a longer run, there are additional paths around farm fields in the area.
Start at the Harbor near the Zehntenhof Stadium. There’s an easy to follow path around the harbor, featuring nice views of the water and boats of all types. The loop is 3.5 km. To extend the route, run on the dirt path through a scenic farm field for 2 km headed west. It’s very pastoral. You can then loop back along the towpath (Leinpfad) along the Rhine.
Add-Ons: Schlosspark just east of the Harbor, or Rhine River paths from Walluf headed west.
