Rouen: Seine River Paths

Creative Commons: Herbert Frank

Rouen is well-known for its picturesque old town, Cathédrale Notre-Dame, and Museum of Fine Arts. The best place to run in Rouen is on paths along the Seine River. We’ve put together a loop of up to 8 km between the Gustave-Flaubert Bridge and the Pierre Corneille Bridge. One can start at any point along this route — a good spot near Old Town is the Jean d’Arc Bridge. Enjoy the promenade on the north side of the river, and a short tour of the Parc de la Presqu’île Rollet. On the south side, the highlight is Prairie Saint Sever (park).

Add-Ons: See our two nearby ‘castle’ routes.

Essentials
  • Loop of up to 8 km
  • 34m (114 feet
