Previously known as the Imperial Country Club, the Enghelab Sport Complex in District 3 hosts a wide spectrum of athletic activities, from inline skating to squash. There is a fee to become a member, but if you’re in Tehran for the long haul, the cost may be worth the opportunity to utilize the Engelab Health Road. This great 2.5 km tarmac path around the grounds is lined with stationary exercise equipment, trees, and street lights (which make this a prime spot to run at night). There is a food court and plenty of shops within the grounds that you can enjoy post-run.
