Daisy Hill (Koala Bushland)

Wikimedia Commons

Located 25 km southeast of Brisbane, Daisy Hill Conservation Park is part of a larger area known as the Koala Bushland. It’s a great place for trail running, with an extensive array of both single-use and shared trails amongst the eucalyptus forest and koalas. The shared paths may include mountain bikes and horses, so keep an eye out.

Click here for a complete list of all trails and ratings of each. Most of the trails are under 1 km (0.62 miles), so linking a few together might be a good idea. The Venman circuit is a good longer option (7.5 km/4.3 miles).

The trail hub is traditionally the starting point which includes a picnic area, shelters and barbeques. After you have finished running you can get up close to some koalas for free in the Daisy Hill Koala Centre.
