Olympic Park & Maisonneuve Park

Montreal hosted the 1976 summer Olympic Games. Get inspired by a running tour of Olympic Park, where you can see several facilities from the Olympics such as Olympic Stadium (still in use), Velodrome (now a biodome), and other sites. The facilities are somewhat of an ode to 1970s brutalist architecture. Just across Sherbrooke St. is Maisonneuve Park, a pleasant urban park with ~3-4 km of pleasant paths. Overall, you can stitch together a 6-7 km run at this site. Also located here is a Botanical Garden — not really for running but a nice spot to visit!

Add-Ons: Residential streets around Olympic Park are good for running — all have sidewalks. We especially recommend Rosemont-La Petite-Patri, just west of Olympic Park, for its classic Montreal duplexes sporting unique outdoor stairwells and numerous small parks.
