Osaka Castle

Osaka Castle, a monument to Japan’s unification, is one of the top tourist destinations in the country. It’s also a very popular, promoted place for runningThe scenic, tiered castle is surrounded by a pretty green park with lots of running options. A loop around the park’s outer perimeter on dedicated pedestrian paths is about 4 km, while the inner ring of the park forms a 3 km circuit. There are several cross-paths throughout the park which runners can access for variety and more mileage. Whichever route you take, you’re sure to be met with impressive views of the castle, moat, cherry trees, and remembrance gardens.

The best way to reach Osaka Castle Park is through Otemon Gate at the Southwestern corner of the park.
