This is another great run in the Manly area, and a gentler option than some of our other other routes around Manly Beach. It’s 5 km from Shelly Beach to Curl Curl Beach, most of it along beachfront paths.
Start at Shelley Beach, and run along the the beautiful, paved Marine Parade path along the water for 2 km to Manly Beach. At Manly, continue on the waterfront path (or run along the beach!), crossing Manly Lagoon on Bridge Rd. Continue along Bridge Rd. (hilly, and some stairs) to Freshwater Beach where you’ll have to use some local roads or run along the beach to get to the Curl Curl Boardwalk. The last 0.5 km is along the Boardwalk to Curl Curl Beach. Curl Curl Beach itself is 1 km long, and the sand is good for running near the water.
