Just down the river from the Brisbane CBD, the St. Lucia campus of the University of Queensland offers a scenic 5k run along the river and the lovely university grounds. The run can be extended by adding Dutton Park and a nice waterfront section along the Brisbane Corso
Shorter Loop: Start at the rowing sheds on Sir William Macgregor Drive. Follow the route along the river then through the beautiful campus, which includes sandstone buildings and manicured gardens. This loop is 5.1 km.

Longer Run. From the University, cross the Eleanor Schonell Bridge (also known as Green bridge), which includes a covered path for pedestrians, into Dutton Park, and do a loop around its pleasant paths. Option to continue by running along the Brisbane Corso in Yeronga, a path through a series of parks featuring nice water views. It’s 2 km from Dutton Park to Esplanade Park and the turnaround. There are some nice additional paths in Leyshon, Fehlberg, and Hude Road Parks. This adds up to 7.5 km for the full out and back.

One of the more popular running options in Brisbane, this paved multi-use path runs for 4 km along the river from the Eagle St. Pier downtown to the suburb of New Farm. Great city and river views the whole way.
Nice waterfront running just across the river and east of the CMD. Famous for the Kangaroo Point Stair Climb -- 107 steps used to climb the eastern end of the cliffs. Good as standalone run or combine our other nearby routes.

Located 15 km northeast of Brisbane, the Boondall Wetlands is the home to a range of wildlife. There's also some pleasant running, on a combination of four different tracks, and the Boondall Wetlands Bikeway.
Lovely path along the water in this coastal area 20 km northeast of Brisbane. It's 11 km out and back from Moora Park to the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge in Brighton, with great views to Moreton Bay and the Coral Sea.
Wonderful waterfront run in Brisbane's eastern coastal bayside suburbs. This paved path right along the water from Manly to Wynnum along the Esplanade features great views. Can be extended south to Lota.
