In Pudong, two routes that can be combined: Century Park and a run along Century Ave.

Century Park

Completed in 2000, the 346-acre Century Park (also known as Holiday Park) is the largest park in Shanghai. It’s very accessible, situated on Jinxiu Road, in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, nearby to the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum.  There are lovely trails along lawns, woods, and lakes. One can easily do 5K within the park without overlapping. The outer perimeter of the park is exactly 5K if following the sidewalks. Park highlights include a lakeside scenic area, lawns, a nature preserve with Bird Garden and the ‘Montreal Garden’, Fork Village with Ginkgo trees, and 3,000 plum blossom trees.

Conveniently reached with metro line 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9. Note: Entrance fee of 10RMB.

Century Ave. (Shìjì Dàdào)

This is a decent run standalone or in combination with Century Park. It’s an easy, straight, sightseeing run along a wide avenue, traversing 6.6 km from Century Park west to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Century Ave. is  built on a grand scale, with multiple vehicle lanes and wide sidewalks, and is quite leafy in parts. Key landmarks headed west: Shanghai Oriental Art Center; Lujiazui 1885 Square; many important skyscrapers, including the Shanghai Twenty-first Century Tower & Jinmao Tower; Lujiazui Central Green Space; and at the western end, the TV Tower, Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, Shanghai Natural Wild Insect Kingdom, Waitan Sightseeing Tunnel, and Shanghai International Conference Center. There are several upscale hotels near the TV Tower. Subway Line 2 runs along Century Ave., so it’s easy to do a one-way run.
