Renton: Soos Creek Trail and Green River Trail

Google Street View

Renton is a suburb of Seattle and has some excellent multi-use trails for running.

Soos Creek Trail. A terrific multi-use path that runs between Renton and Lake Meridian in Kent. The paved trail is about 7 miles in length, traveling through wetlands and farmland. The north end is in Renton at 192nd St., and runs south to Lake Meridian. There are several access points to the trail along the way. Can also connect to the Lake Youngs Trail. The northern terminus is about 15 miles southeast of downtown Seattle.

Add-Ons: Connect to the  9-mile Lake Youngs Trail.

Green River Trail.  Another popular choice near the Seattle suburb of Renton. It follows the levee above the Green River, winding through suburban parks, industrial areas, and shopping centers for nearly 20 miles. Some sections are nicer than others. The first 6 miles parallel Highway 99 and aren’t as nice. Miles 6-15, south iof I-405, are more scenic, especially the Green River Natural Resources area. TRAIL INFORMATION & MAP.
