Benidorm Coastal Run

Pxfuel.com

One of our favorite runs on the Costa Blanca is the 6.6 km seafront promenade in the coastal resort of Benidorm. This town is known for its two beaches, nightlife and numerous skyscrapers.  The festive, palm-lined promenade runs from the southern end of Poniente Beach, continuing for 3 km along the beach to Parc d’Elx and then another 1 km to Benidorm’s Old Town. Here, the path winds it way around the port, Yacht Club, and several plazas. (Diversion: on your left you will find the steep steps taking you up to the famous Balcon with its beautiful square.) Continue along Levante Beach for 2 km, ending at the Cala Almadraba nature preserve.

The two beaches are wide and long, but the sand does tend to be softer.

Add-Ons: Enjoy some of the quaint streets of Old Town in Benidorm, and the paths through Aigüera Park, just inland from the promenade. See also our route around the Cala Almadraba.
