The seaside promenade along San Juan Playa and Playa Muchavista is another attractive spot for a run on the Costa Blanca. Located 8 km north up the coast from the city of Alicante, these two wide, white sand beaches are nearly 6 km combined. A palm-lined promenade runs along most of their length, and continues even further north to Platja del Carrer de la Mar in El Campello. The beaches themselves are runnable — the sand is firm enough, especially near the water. Heading north, there are great views of Montgó (mountain).
