The National Park and adjacent Ubpark are the best places to run in Ulaanbaatar. There are ring loops in the park, several km of paved cycle paths in Ubpark, and additional trails. Note the terrain is open and exposed.

The loop around Lake Suwa is a worth-it destination run. A beautiful gravel path loops around the lake for 16 km, through cherry blossoms and parkland, with views of the water and surrounding mountains. It's 90 km south of Nagano, and a quick 1-hour train ride.
Run the Necklace Road circling the Hussain Sagar lake or explore the nearby paths of Sanjeevaiah Park and Indira Park.
The large green space of Kasu Brahmanandha Reddy (KBR Park) is one of the most popular places for running in Hyderabad. There is a 5km jogging track and lots of interior paths. Located in the affluent Jubilee Hills area.
Maidan Park is a large green space along the Hooghly River, and one of the most popular places to run in Kolkata. Runners can also experience tourist attractions like the Victoria Memorial and Fort Williams.
Run a loop around Rabindra Sarobar Lake in the south of Kolkata. This stone-paved path is about 4 km with lots of landmarks to see along the way.
Ramna Park is one of the signature running spots in Dhaka, with 2.5 km of paths passing by lush greenery. Combine with the adjacent grounds of Shishu Park and the Eternal Flame/Museum of Independence and even University of Dhaka for a longer run.

Our 'runseeing' tour of Lahore's Walled City, which is bound by Circular Rd. The most runnable section is the ~5 km loop of Greater Iqbal Park, which has several important sites. Outside the park, it's a maze of narrow, alley-like streets.
One of the better opportunities for a pleasant, off-road green space run in Lahore is to combine Lawrence Park (Bagh e Jinnah) with the adjacent Race Course(Jilani) Park. Jogging tracks in both can combine for a pleasant 5k+ run.
Terrific beachside running in Karachi. About 5 km of promenade paths, including Beach View Park. Clifton Beach itself is 6 km long, and runnable. At the northern end of the beach, the Oyster Rocks Pier is also a scenic spot. Good add-ons in area.
By far the best running in Kobe is along the waterfront promenades of Osaka Bay. There is no one continuous path, but runners can find good sections near Harborland, Suma, Wakinohamakaigandori, and Maiko.
A recent and wonderful addition to the Busan running scene! The paved boardwalk path runs alongside a rail line for 4.2 km between Haeundae and Songjeong Beach. Great views of the water, beach, & Busan skyline. Add with beachside paths. Cherry blossoms in season!

Run on one of the most important roads in India! This ceremonial road in central New Delhi runs from National Stadium, through India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhavan. It's lined by huge lawns, canals, and rows of trees. Good add-on options.
Small, centrally located park that's pleasant for running. There's a marked 1 km path around the park, which can be added to a with some of the other trails. For a longer run, the grounds of adjacent Nagoya Castle are scenic.
One of the best spots for a longer, off-road run in Nagoya. Gravel paths line the Shonai River and Yada River, for 13+ km. The best section is from Daiko Park, west to Shonai Ryokuchi Park. There are some lovely parks and sections with cherry blossoms.

The Love River is signature spot for running in Kaohsiung. There are paths/decent sidewalks for ~10 km, from the Lingyaliao Iron Bridge north to Smile Park. It's more park-like for 4 km north of "Heart of the Love River", with paths on both sides of the river.
For our favorite run in Kaohsiung City, take the quick ferry over to Cijin Island. Here you'll enjoy a 9+ km seamless waterfront run along a paved path with great views, also experiencing an old fort, lighthouse, and some of the island's historic streets.
The signature running spot in Malacca. Paths run for about 7 km along the river. In the more central section, there are shops, cafes, and mural art on the walls of historic homes. Further north, the paths are more pastoral, passing fields and farms.
The signature run in Pattaya. A wide, palm-lined path runs between Beach Road and the beach, and is always a festive scene. It's 5.8 km one-way, to the Pattaya Viewpoint. Water views nearly the whole way.
Another great beachside run in Pattaya, this tree-lined path follows Jomtiensaineung Rd. along Jomtien Beach for 6.5 km. Good surface, some shade, and water views the whole way. The beach is also runnable.
The largest of Hanoi's numerous lakes and one of the best spots in the city for a longer run. Palm-lined boulevards hug the shoreline, making for a ~15 km loop. Located in the Tây Hồ District, a wealthier section of the city, and site of Trấn Quốc Pagoda.
One of the most popular spots to run in Hanoi. It's a 1 mile loop along a dedicated path, with a Temple on an island. For more, create your own run along the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, and/or run over to and across the Long Biên Bridge.
The signature run in Chennai. The promenade along the beach is 5 km one-way, festive and busy. The beach is runnable too. For a longer run, cross the Napier Bridge and run 2.5 km to St. George Fort & the Victory War Memorial.
There is some good running just west of Marina Beach along the Adyar River, and west of Elliott's Beach, in the Besant Nagar neighborhood. We've developed a map and route pointing out the most runnable spots.
Fantastic waterfront path with view of the mountains and Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand’s longest lake. It is 10 km one-way between Frankton and Queenstown. Can easily do one-way and take bus back.
Some of the best options for running in Bali. The beach is very runnable and extends for several km north or south. A paved boardwalk path runs for 2.5 km to Jerman Beach, with great water views. The road north to Seminyak is also runnable.

A favorite place to run in Macau. This 2.6 km loop of Sai Van Lake is along pleasant path, with great views of the water and Macau Tower (which you'll pass under). Locals say it's a particular treat to do this run at sunrise.
One of the signature spots for running in Macau. Great views of the Macau peninsula along this wide, tree-lined recreational path. The total distance is 3.3 km one-way. For a longer run, can go for 2.5 km over the 'Old Bridge'.

Excellent running paths along both the right and left banks. Good water views much of the way, and it’s great for sunrises/sunsets. On the right bank, 9 km from Yanping Park to Shezi Island. On the left bank, 4 km from Taipei Br. through Tamsui Riverside Park.

A perfect waterfront sunset run near the Kansai Airport in Izumisano City. Multiple options, including ~7 km or ~11 km routes along mainly waterfront paths.
The 6 km loop around Ragunan Zoo is one of the most popular routes in the city, featuring over 200 animal species and some impressive exotic trees and plants.
The National Monument is surrounded by an 80 hectare park, one of the largest city parks in Asia, which includes shaded running paths. A loop around the perimeter is 4.2 km.
The Manila Baywalk along Roxas Boulevard is the most popular running spot in Manila, with a 1.6 km brick and cement path along the coastline. Good water views along this coconut-lined path. Video excerpts!
This great boardwalk by the Mall of Asia follows the waterline past a variety of shops, restaurants, hotels, and a carnivalesque amusement park. 1.2 km one-way, with an ability to continue along Coral Way for another 1 km.
Close to the raucous resort area of Phuket, this beach has a festive — if somewhat crowded — vibe. Sand conditions are great for running, and it’s possible to travel about 2.6 km one way.
While still a tourist beach, Karon is less developed than Patong, and the 3 km (one way) of sand here has great running conditions. Sidewalks bordering the beach are also runnable.
At over 13 km, this is one of the longest stretches of uninterrupted beach on Phuket, bordering the airport and Sirinat Natural Park.
Botanical Gardens within 170-acre Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park are wonderful for running. Several km of paths along and around 10 different types of gardens, or 'collections'. Also some hills and stairs. Free, and open 7am-8pm.
At 300 acres, this wonderful green space is known as the 'Central Park' of Bangalore. A popular spot for running, with wide avenues, paths, and interesting sites. Can put together 5-7 km within the park. Bonus: closed to traffic before 8am and on Sundays.

900-foot high South Mountain is an oasis of green, right in the center of Seoul. About 10 km of paved paths, including 2k climb to the summit, quite steep. Great views from the top. More of a challenging trail run.

Built for the Olympics, Olympic Forest Park is a large, man-made nature park at the north end of the Olympic Green in Beijing. It's one of the best spots in Beijing for jogging. There jogging paths, with lengths of 3k, 5k, and 10k. The south section is near the Convention Ctr.

One of the most popular runs in Singapore. A paved multi-use path runs along the Singapore Strait from Marine Parade/Katong east toward the airport. Nice foliage, water views, and a festive scene. Up to 11.7 k one-way.
The signature run in Hong Kong. Carved out into the side of a hill, this relatively flat, paved path runs about 4k one-way, providing great views of Central and Wanchai just below.
Running around Victoria Peak is one of the top running and tourist highlights of Hong Kong. There are fantastic views all along the 360-degree path. There are many options for running at Victoria Peak.
There's some pleasant and scenic running along Victoria Harbour, near Central. There are two sections: Up to 8 km one-way between Victoria Park and Kennedy Town; and the Quarry Bay Promenade.
For some green and some track workouts, running the 1.4 km Happy Valley track at the Hong Kong Jockey club is a treat. There are great views of the Hong Kong skyline and the causeway.
